QR codes are touted as a way to link the real world to the web. As the New York Times reports, New York Fashion Week saw folks scanning buses, cookies, dolls, and even each other to gain invites, special deals, and information. QR code bracelets provide you with information about the wearer when scanned, eliminating the need to chat up folks without first knowing if they’re worth your time. Will the 21st century replace the conversation with the snap? We doubt it, but look forward to finding more ways to connect the real and the virtual.
